Our Goals

  • Continue the Quaker Presence and Values in Jeanes Hospital and its community.

  • Provide for the health and wellness of the geographic community served by Jeanes Hospital.

Community Grants

Helping the community stay well is a vital part of our Mission. Through programs such as free bicycle helmets to neighborhood children and funding to prevent young children from becoming smokers, we help people maintain their health and safety.

We believe that community wellness begins with the community involvement. We support local wellness and accident prevention activities through small grants for activities such as community health fairs, health screenings, educational programs, and seminars.  Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000, and are
awarded annually based on merit, community impact and fund availability.

If you are a teacher in a local school, a civic leader organizing a wellness activity or a provider of prevention services in the community surrounding Jeanes Hospital, you are welcome to apply for a grant to start or continue your program.

Community Grant Requirements

Requestors are eligible if they can demonstrate:

  1. That the purpose for which funds are being requested provides for the ongoing support of Jeanes Hospital Pastoral Care program or directly improves the health and wellness of the geographic community served by Jeanes Hospital;
  2. That all funds received shall be used solely for the purpose of the request;
  3. That the requestor is a private individual or a not-for-profit entity as described under §501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

To be considered for a Grant, the individual or organization must complete an application and submit it to the Foundation for review by its Grant Committee or by its Board of Directors. Applications may be submitted via mail, using the information on the application form, or via email.
