Our Goals

  • Continue the Quaker Presence and Values in Jeanes Hospital and its community.

  • Provide for the health and wellness of the geographic community served by Jeanes Hospital.

ANNA T. JEANES FOUNDATION

Provides for the health and wellness of the community served by Jeanes Hospital either directly through grants or service or by linkage to other organizations; and continues the Quaker presence and values in the Hospital and community.

Through our support of the Pastoral Care Program at Jeanes Hospital and through grants and special activities to support the wellness of the geographic community, we bring the legacy of our Quaker founder, Anna T. Jeanes, to life each and every day.

The simple violet has been used to symbolize the woman who began it all. For us, the violet symbolizes our belief in the value of all life, the need for a kind and nurturing environment, and the inner peace that comes with helping others.
     Community Grants      Nursing Scholarship
Helping the community stay well is a vital part of our Mission.  We believe that community wellness begins with the community involvement. We support local wellness and accident prevention activities through small grants for activities such as community health fairs, health screenings, educational programs, and seminars.

the Foundation is making scholarship money available to high school seniors who wish to pursue the profession of nursing and have been accepted into an institution of higher education that offers an approved program of study in professional nursing. The scholarship is named after Dorothy Willets Hallowell, a long time resident of the Jeanes Hospital community and supporter of Jeanes Hospital.
